Well, the last few practise have been great. The new song is sounding fantastic and 'Burn In' just keeps getting better! We're planning on getting some pub/club gigs arranged in teh new year so keep watching this space for updates!

OK, it's been a while...! We had a bit of a break over the Summer! Ariel also recently had a little girl so has stepped down from bass duties at least for the time being. So, we now welcome back our original bassist, Ro! We're gonna get cracking on rehearsing again and get some gigs booked. If you know any pubs / clubs that would put us up or any bands who are after a support band we'd be more than happy to fill that gap! Get in touch!

After a great (late) night at St John's East Bowling and a red hot weekend in Hemel Hempstead we are pleased to tell you the first of a few video's is now available on the Media/Video page. I've just updated the Gigs page with some details on our 2nd gig at Firm Foundations this weekend! It's gonna be a short gig in the evening in between 'EmpireNation' and 'On Off Switch' but over in the V2 tent to give the crew time to set down and set up between the main bands! Expect a bunch of cheesy covers and maybe even some karaoke - so if you wanna get up and sing 'Summer of 69' with us then learn the words and give us a shout when we're on!

Well, after a brief silence while the New Year settled down 77x have return with force! With a handful of new songs as well as Shaun's debut into the world of song-writing, this year should hopefully be a blast! If you want us to play just get in touch - weddings, funerals, pub gigs, church gigs - man, we'd even play in your front room if your neighbours were up for it!

We are pleased to officially announce the birth of our newest member, Ariel! El-Brownio II will take over on bass duties as of right now! Ariel is officially the smartest dressed member of seventyseventimes and can often be seen with his close friend, Pixel-Boy. Please be nice to him when you see him!

Just a quicky to let you know that in the next few weeks we will be announcing our new replacist bassist. As you may know Ro is heading up to Scotland for a few years of being a student and has officially hung up his bass in terms of 77x.
We would like to officially thank Ro for all his hard work and commitment to 77x, for being most knowledgeable with the sound equipment, for recording our first CD, for being a kick-ass bass player and, most importantly, being an awesome bloke (who else would allow MaFt to introduce him at a gig as 'El-Brownio The Racist Bassist'?!).
So, keep your eyes peeled for the news and remember if you want to book us then drop us a line and we'll see what we can arrange!

Unfortunately we have had to cancel the Portsmouth event scheduled for the end of August. Many apologies for this. On the flip-side, we will be leading worship at Bradord Uni Christian Union on 23rd October. Stay tuned for more details.

Wow! What can we say? Firm Foundations was brilliant - not just playing there but the whole festival in itself! There are now some photo's in the Media section. There'll be some videos soon too when I find a bit of spare time!
We now have a facebook page (not just a group, but an actual band page) so please add us to that and you can upload your own photo's and videos etc.
And, finally, Ro will be leaving Bradford to head off to uni in Scotland at the end of Summer so we are aiming to get a few events in before that. If you want us to play an event for you then please do get in touch via the contact page. We may well be in Portsmouth at the end of August... News of Ro's replacement will be announced nearer the time!

Thanks for everyone who came to worship with us at heart4worship! Chatting to a lot of people afterwards and had some really good feedback, so thanks for that! There are now some photo's in the Media section.
We're pretty much set for Firm Foundations on Saturday which I can guaruntee will be a fantastic event! Come and join with us for an hour of passionate worship at 3.30pm in the V2 tent!

Well, we just finished recording the new CD and it sounds great so far! We still need to mix it on Tuesday though but you should be pleased with the results! We'll be posting some photo's and video soon too.

We are pleased to announce the official demise of Punk Worship and the official rise of seventyseventimes! Yes, Punk Worship has changed and the fun begins right now!
Don't worry, the events we play will still be in the same format (lively, passionate, energetic and honest worship) we just have a name for the band now. See the 'about' section for more information. Hopefully we'll see you in May and we'll update the news section soon with details of the next events and forthcoming visit to the recording studio.

We're still here! Don't you worry! At the moment we're preparing for recording our 2nd CD - this will be recorded at Voltage Studios in Bradford some time in March 2008. It will be a 4-track EP but full details will be announced nearer the time.
The next two events will be in May, one in Bradford and the other at a festival called Firm Foundations - where we will be leading the afternoon worship session. Check the site for full details as they get announced!
And, finally, there will be big changes early this year too so keep your eyes and ears peeled! You might miss it, even if we repeated it seventy seven times!

Well, October has been and gone and a big thanks to those who came to worship with us at PW 3volution. There are now loads of photos in the media section (so many in fact we've split them into two parts!) - I still haven't had time to do any video though...
Some news about the next couple of events in May 2008. Firstly we are planning on having PW 'heart4worship' in early May (details to be confirmed) - this will be an evening of pure worship, punk-worship style. Secondly, we have been invited to lead worship at Firm Foundations on the 24th May - again, full details will be announced later!
After the success of the Open Your Eyes CD we recorded this time last year (time has gone so fast!) we are starting to plan a follow-up release. Tentatively titled the 'Blessed Be EP' it will likely be a four song EP of Punk Worship released around March. We are hoping to record it in a studio this time (rather than in the creche at church!) but this will need money... A rough estimate is that we will need around £330 to cover recording and duplication/artwork for 100 CDs. Our aim is to fund the recording and other costs with donations so that the money from all the sales can go straight back into the work that we do (eg to cover costs of equipment hire/purchase, fuel towards non-Bradford events etc). We always want to keep the main events completely free of charge and rely totally on donations and money from CD/DVD sales. If you would like to donate to the work that we do then please use the 'donate' button at the bottom of every page (please feel free to state whether you want the donation to go towards the recording project or the 'general' funds). If you wish to Gift-Aid then please contact us directly via email at mail@punkworship.co.uk and we will put you in touch with our Church Accountant.

Practises have begun for PW 3volution and they're going so well that we decided to have a week off next week! The evenings format will be quite different, hence the name, including a covers set/gig at the start of the night before the worship. There may even be an acoustic guitar in there somewhere...! We have also just added the DVDs to the Shop section so go ahead and support us with your hard-earned cash! We never charge for entry into the Punk Worship events and each one ends up costing us around £100-£200 for equipment hire/purchase, publicity etc etc. There are three available - one from each event so far and you can buy them in a bundle with either all the DVDs or all the DVDs including the CD. The DVD's are priced at £2 and get cheaper the more you buy! They will be available in the night to save on postage costs.

The date is set for PW 3volution - Saturday October 13th 2007 at Sunbridge Road Mission in Bradford. As the name suggests, things are going to be different this time! Plans are already being made about how we can make this the best Punk Worship event so far and to make it even better for bringing your non-Christian friends to. More information will be posted nearer the time!
We have also just added a new video to the Media section from Project Dave last month - apologies for the sound quality but we only had camcorders rather than Ro's Mega-PC! Still, it's not too bad. We will be (finally) releasing the DVD set in time for PW 3volution - comprising of PW1, PW2, Project Dave and some bonus photo slideshows and awesome footage of the mighty Cephas doing some punk worship back in 2001. Pricing details will be made available nearer the release date.

Well, Project Dave was a blast and you can see some photo's here! Numbers were a bit lower than expected due to exams but we still had fun with the cheesey covers set and a great time of worship. It took us just over 4 hours each way in the mini-bus that MaFt's Dad had hired. Huge thanks to him for driving us down with all the gear and also huge thanks to David Nuttall of Jalapeno Drums for loaning Nat his 'Russian Doll' drum kit (the entire kits fits inside one single case - great for travelling).
The covers set included such hits as Bryan Adam's "Summer of '69", Pink's "Just Like A Pill", Katrina & The Waves' "Walking on Sunshine and, ahem, Busted's "Crashed the Wedding". After a few fun games the worship set started and our slightly different format seemed to go down well and we had some good feedback. We may be returning, so if you're from around that area keep your eyes peeled for future Project Dave events.

Not much to update really other than to let you know the plans for this year! Due to the pending birth of Mini-MaFt #2 we are holding off the next Punk Worship event until, more than likely, October - this will tie in with new students arriving at Bradford Uni too. It's gonna be different (hence the name PW 3volution...)
Also, MaFt and Ro have just done an acoustic night for St James' Church in Thornton - check out some photo's on the SRM Youth site.
CD sales have gone really well - there are only about 25 left, so if you want one, grab one quick in the shop!
On the DVD front MaFt has made the bonus disc (Punk Worship 1 in it's entirety, some special Cephas punk worship and photo's from both PW1 and PW2). Given a bit more time the full PW2 DVD will be done and will be available nice and cheap. If you can't wait and want a copy of the bonus disc before the main DVD is complete then please email us here. It will likely cost £2.50 for both discs including postage.

2007 already! Well, the big news is that it looks like the DVD won't be happening... There will be a DVD, but in a slightly different format. Due to computer woes we have lost the audio recordings from PW2 so we will have to use the (inferior) sound from the camcorders. So, this makes the tracks in the audio section even rarer and more special!
Also, We've created a new forum specifically for Punk Worship and the SRM Youth - you may have noticed that the 'discuss' link at the top has changed to 'forum'. Check it out and join in the conversations!

After what seems like unendless mixing and remixing we have finally sent off the master CD & artwork for 'Open Your Eyes' off to the printers! We should have it back within a week so those who have pre-ordered a copy will get them before the official release date of December 9th! Don't forget, there's still time to preorder them in the shop.
